Spock gets word that the Romulans have found a wormhole that leads to Earth and that they have diabolical plans for its use. The crew of the USS Enterprise-D race to this distant part of the Romulan Empire with a new piece of hardware they believe will be able to safely traverse it if the Enterprise cannot fit through. However, what Commander Riker finds on the other side is the Land Before Time, and the Butterfly Effect is more real than he could ever imagine. Their choices quickly have catastrophic results, and it will take all of their resources to set right what went wrong!
