My partner and I live in a small village in semi-rural Kent in the UK. It’s here that I enjoy making my own beer and riding out on my Harley (although not after drinking any of the beer).
It was Star Trek that ignited a real passion for science fiction in me that continues to this day. My foray into actually writing stories only came about as the Covid pandemic first started and I found myself suddenly out of work for the first time in thirty years or so.
Don’t worry as I soon bounced back into my old job, how weird!
My background is diverse. I started out in chemistry lab work in metal finishing and through wanting to improve myself worked in rubber and plastics research and then the world of IT before joining the UK Railways.
It was through a love of Star Trek that got me into that industry. I casually mentioned my interests to my interviewer, and I noticed his eyes light up when I mentioned that I had created a Star Trek website (now defunct). I was hired the next day, twenty-three years later I am still in the industry.
Writing does not come easily to me, so I am more than thrilled to be accepted here amongst real writers.
