Sorya is a marvellous story that brings a beautiful coda to the end of the ST Picard series, by giving the Enterprise-D a wonderful send-off and by closing the book on the story of Tasha Yar – and her much maligned half-Romulan daughter, Sela.
The story ties their story together from all timelines, and reminds us of what a wonderful woman Tasha was and how badly her character was treated by the writers.
Nearly all the TNG characters get something to do, and there’s a marvellous thread involving Data and his memories of Tasha, even given his resurrection(s).
Kara also writes in an immersive fashion that really has one seeing the scenes played out. Her prose is often quite poetic.
This is on my list of Highly Recommended.
